Trend watch: Be inspired by whitewash

According to the Ronseal Trends Experts, in 2012 natural soft tones are set to be the coolest trend in British gardens.

Shades of white can be used to create a rustic and salvaged look, or a slick and modern finish.

Use the colours on all kinds of furniture and wood including pagodas, tables and chairs, benches, planters and fences. The muted white tones will help furniture sit comfortably in the garden, creating a sense and harmony.
