Springbank Flowers, Manchester's leading florist, has two finalists at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show: returning gold medal winner Joe Massie and first-time entrant Heather Rogers.
Returning champ Joe Massie (pictured on right) is competing for Young Florist of the Year for the fourth year running, having won gold and Best in Show for the last three years. Joe, who's been at Springbank for more than three years now, said; "I have faith in my design but that's only half the battle, the quality of the flowers is also critical. We're lucky to be working with Hilverda De Boer again. We know we can rely on them to supply the best quality flowers - and at Chelsea that's the number one priority."
Heather Rogers, an experienced member of the Springbank team, is competing for Florist of the Year for the first time. She summed it up; "After many years in the business, I'm really excited to have the opportunity and the support to enable me to compete at Chelsea. The brief is to create a chandelier suitable for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee dinner. It's both exciting and daunting but I'm definitely up for the challenge."
RHS Chelsea 2012 won't be all about competition for Springbank Flowers, as they will also provide the décor for the prestigious Fortnum & Mason Event Catering hospitality areas.
Anna-Liisa Evans, owner of Springbank Flowers, said; "We're very excited to be working with Fortnum & Mason again and delighted that they have chosen us for this flagship event." Beaming with pride, she continued; "At Springbank we focus on the development of our staff and this year it's really paid off. Having one finalist at Chelsea is an exceptional achievement; to have two is almost unheard of. We're absolutely thrilled!"
