The award for Best Plant Display, sponsored by Barclaycard, announced on the second morning of the HTA National Plant Show, has gone to Lovania Nurseries for the second year running. Commendations were also presented to Wyevale Nurseries, Oakgate Nursery and David Austin Roses.

Judges, Caroline Owen from Scotsdales Garden Centre, Trevor Pfeiffer from Garden Trade News and Gill Ormrod from HTA News, were faced with a mammoth task given the exceptionally high quality of the plant displays from the 180 exhibitors.

Caroline Owen comments, "The standard of plants at the show is tremendous and considering the year that we have had this is all credit to growers - a fantastic effort by all."

She adds, "The Lovania Nurseries display went the extra mile and ticked all the boxes for the judging criteria. Innovative in their approach they provided several eye catching alpine features with high impact that could easily be replicated instore by garden centres. With clear labelling they also demonstrated added value with POS materials for 3 for 2 deals."

Commendations were presented to:

Wyevale Nurseries - for a highly innovative display focusing on the colour palette
Oakgate Nursery - highlighting their super value range and 3 for £10 deal.
David Austin Roses - for overall presentation and branding.
