I thought that with this mild weather there would be plenty of food around for the birds in my area. But all them seem to do is come to my feeders, every bird for miles around must know about my feeders. I'm having to fill them up on a daily basis. I don't mind too much as I like to see the birds in my garden, but surely natural food is about for them. It's costing me a fortune in bird seed.

Yeah I know what you mean. It aint cheap to feed the birds but they are a welcome addition to the great outdoors. We put up feeders in the yard space at work too, which clients seem to like when they come to the office, as they always comment on them.

The birds are eating more than usual in my garden too. I seem to recall an old housewives tale about harsh weather is coming if the birds fatten themselves up for winter. Perhaps we have heavy snow on the way, but howthe birds could know this I don't know. But the wildlife does seem to have a nack of predicting the weather more accurately than man.

old housewives tales are usually spot on. I can't keep up with the birds, no sooner have I filled the peanut holder than its emptied. The forecast was for colder weather, so perhaps bad weather is on the way?

The headlines in the newspapers over the weekend say that we are in for a harsh cold period. Looks like that old housewives tale was right. If only the birds could predict the lottery numbers for me.

Looks like your birds were right. Can they tell me who's going to win the 2:50 at Kempton Park tomorrow?
