Selecting the appropriate grass seed mixture is about putting the correct plant in the right place. Different lawn species provide different characteristics; these are blended within a seed mixture to confer distinct qualities. Garden seed mixtures that incorporate species that include Fescues and Bents are associated with fine lawns whereas mixtures that also incorporate Perennial Rye-grass provide a more hard wearing lawn.
